Did that as you recommended...and now (I think) it's "back to the
drawing board" since the machine has sat at the "Starting Up" prompt for
the past 30 minutes hehe...:) :) The term "unbootable" comes to mind.

I've never gotten the serial port to work on this little 'fella from the
day I unpacked him in 1999 until (and including) now!
Oh well, it adds to the fun quotient

By the way, - and somewhat orthagonally - how do you create an
application for inclusion on a restore CD? I'm asking because...silly
me...I detest vi with a passion, and thought that perhaps it would be a
cool thing to have...hmmm, let's say nano on the restore disc. I've
ruminated on this matter for a while, pondering precisely what would be
necessary to do in order to stuff some nice extra apps on a custom CD.

FWIW (and I'm far from sure at this early stage what it *is* worth!!!) I
intend to document all of this stuff at some point, and even host a
restore CD or two on my main datacenter server. So I'm hoping that -
over time - I can actually contribute to the project in some small way.
(I am looking at 2 RAQ2's on the shelf in my office that would be really
yummy to get working also!)

Last but not least, thanks everyone (Andy mainly at this moment!!) for
patience, because I've emitted a lot of content and a mess of help
requests over this past week. Hopefully that will taper off markedly as
the project approaches completion.
