Rodrigo was right. just do mount -u -o rw / and you have mounted the 
file system.
So I'm back with the old kernel.
But
A) I looked through the rc.conf file to see how to deactivate the lcd 
but I could't find any entry
B) without getting a new I can't find out why my netatalk doesn't work
