i had some code that let me blink it on and off.  if you pull the old
kinda driver from the archives, there's a LED_ADDRESS define.  writing a 1
to that address turns the light on, writing a 0 turns it off.  it's not
the best interface, but you can add it to the ioctl and control it with
a program.  hth.
