I haven't tested PPP on cobalt myself, but I see no reason why
it shouldn't work.

Note that the default (GENERIC) kernel does not have PPP included
(because of a silly size constraint), so you need to recompile it.

The 'Bad address' errors are due to the kernel and the userland
being out of sync.
