Hey Olivier,
It sounds like you've done the right things--in fact you may
have already tried what I suggest below. I can't promise
these will help (I'm using NetBSD on a Hades 060 too, although
it's been years since I did the initial, floppy-based install),
but here goes:

  1) Try formatting the floppy via the GEM desktop method be-
fore using rawwrite (this might even be worth a try if you're
ultimately doing the rawwrite from a PC).

  2) Add '-w' to your rawwrite options to see if you can catch
any error messages before the desktop comes back.

  3) Make sure rawwrite can find the .fs files (e.g., set up
the .ttp with the dir where they reside, or temporarily copy
them to the dir where rawwrite runs).

Not being able to *read* the floppies from GEM (or Win95, for
that matter) is normal, but I don't know why booting off them
failed; Making the floppies on a PC is a reasonable idea (I may
have done the same).

Good luck, --Dave
