Me again ...

With X11, my Falcon runs like a dog on Valium(R); without X11, I have this
grotty vt220 emulation which doesn't even work properly.  Can anyone
recommend something between the two, maybe a fancy version of screen(1)?
'Twould be nice if it "did" colour in a way that lynx/slang can use,
for example.
