has anybody else noticed this ?

My IDE-HD and the rest of the machine are simply hanging under 
high load (in each anoncvs update, for example..), 
but can be revived by simply sending some pings to
the machine over the network..

The LED is running, the machine is no more responding to the keyboard
or mouse, but a ping makes it behave like normal again.

It's not that it is a real problem... but an interesting one :-)
