I haven't tried, but I think in eg RPCINST that's what COMCONSOLE is for.
BTW if you change CONSPEED, it's worth getting rid of the 9600 in
src/distrib/arm32/ramdisk/dot.profile ...

(What happens for SHARKINST with CONSPEED=19200? That must clash with .profile
for sysinst no?)
