Re <float.h> fair enough: I never had NAN undefined so wouldn't have
noticed. However, I'm surprised that NAN wasn't defined for you: it's in
	/sys/arch/m68k/include/math.h
which would have been pulled in by the
	#include <machine/math.h>
in /usr/include/math.h
