As I see it the writes would be equally interesting barometer of disk
performance. Our experience with the EBSA has indicated that dma reads are
in decent bursts, but those of the writes are far to small and numerous to
get anything like the performance on the reads. We looked at this a while
back so I dont have the timings right now...

What is your write performance like?
