Hello There

Has anybody succesfully used an Intel etherexpress PCI bus ethernet card =
with the Intel 82558 or 82559 (the fxp driver in Netbsd 1.4).=20

On the EBSA 285 card, I have tried ethernet cards with the 82558 and =
82559 chips and get the same result i.e. VERY slow performance and =
ultimately the card seems to freeze up.

I'm using the ethernet card to do an NFS mount root, it DHCP's OK but =
boots very very slowly, i.e. half an hour or so and you are still not =
booted (but there is progress) and then the card seems to freeze and its =
game over...

I have tried both 10mb/s and 100mb/s. Also, when I use an ne2000 card, =
it NFS boots just fine.

Any ideas? DMA maybe? I'm pretty sure my RAM is OK.

Thanks
David
