I have since restored my bsd.pkg.mk from the release pkgsrc.tgz and voila make
is now working as expected.

Is there something wrong with the recently changed file or have there
been some changes made to gmake since 1.4 release that cause my installtion to
faulter with this new file??

Thilo

I typed make in the /usr/pkgsrc/x11/lesstif directory. I also tried it with
some of the other packages and got the same result.

This file was uploaded when I did the pkgsrc sup on the 9 Sep

-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 35716 Sep 5 00:56 bsd.pkg.mk

I have looked at the file and it seems fine. I will try and download an
earlier version of this file and try again.
