The CATS X11 sources have not been fed back yet. You can e-mail Mark
mark@causality.com for source code. It's currently a bit of a hack,
which is why it's not published yet. X11R6 isn't anywhere near as
portable as we initially hoped, which is why ther are some stability
issues as you have observed.

That's interesting if shared memory/local transport is the problem. If
you do something like setenv DISPLAY localhost:0.0 then does it still
work? I presume so.

When life is fully organised in the US, we should pull up XF86 3.3.3 to
the CATS.
