Actually yes -- every time I build a new kernel after a SUP.
It's part of the uber-makefile I use to automate things.

Funny, I don't remember now why specifically that step is in there;
I think somebody told me that I should do that, then build&install make
and config, and then config & build the kernel itself. Maybe this is a
bad idea after all?
