The errors I was getting trying to compile anything were caused by me making
and installing a -current version of libbfd.*. If I back out to the
libraries shipped with my CATS cdrom it works again. But I still get compile
errors of undefined _bfd_fatal symbols when I try to compile addr2line in
binutils, along with some other stuff.
