Ah, the error is system-wide, not some internal NFS only.

If you search for mbufs in the port-arm32 archive, you'll see lots of messages
from me complaining about running out of mbufs... This is on a kernel which
is compiled with INET_GATEWAY which IIRC doubles the default amount of mbufs.

If that's all it is, I won't worry unduly. It doesn't fit in with the 
reported symptoms.
