Well there in lies the snag. Certainly had I had access to the diffs I
would have merged them into the xsrc tree.
However Neil and myself have recently gained some Xserver hacking
experience so we are putting together a replacement based on the xsrc
tree. This is planned to be complete before 1.4 (famous last words ;-)
