Hi,

This could be wide of the mark, but make sure that all your 'command path'
setting statements (.profile, .cshrc, etc.) point to X11R6.3 and not X11R6.1
when you upgrade...I overlooked one or two and had something similar until I
found them.

Also check that your .xinitrc, or something that it starts, isn't trying to run
an old version of something. I run fvwm from .xinitrc, and found that .fvwmrc
was pointing at the old libraries.
