I'm having continued problems with the EtherM driver. It can often
report entirely spurious messages when the driver is initialising
(e.g. switched UTP for an unconnected cable). Sometimes it reports
a 'failed bit pattern in NIC buffer' which stops the driver
initialising at all. Other times, it appears to start up correctly,
but is running very slow (ping times to local network of > 1000ms).
A reboot usually fixes this.

The cards seems to work fine in RISC OS and I've tried replacement
cards. I'm using kernel 5828 (1.2G).
