Yep, I know. I had compiled it on the v1.2 system too (ARM710). Sadly it was 
not useable. Was your machine equipped with an SA-110 ?

The new softfloat lib 'only' brings the double speed in FP calculations. I 
guess this is still to slow

	ARM710 softfloat: float: 235, double: 93 
	AMD586 (linux):   float: 9967, double: 9967

(UNIX bench results)

PS: I compiled it again (it took nearly 2 hours), but the result is the same
on v1.3: Unusable ! Because I really need the gimp, now I must buy a linux
box, presently only as application server, but ...
