Having some experience with portable programs, a little, but not
much could be attibuted to this.  OTOH, the size of Kaffe is quite good
compared with JDK which doesn't do any JIT.  OTOOH (Three hands :)
Chockcino (although no JIT) manages a Hello World app in 150Kish
(I just found a nasty memory leak!) and a simple AWT program in 4-500kish
