I had (and still have) a similar problem. I am able to install only base
and etc using inst then get a whole load of:
wdc_atapi_intr warning: reading only 0 of 2048 bytes
for a long time...
I am using the YES CD Driver version 2.08 and 2.28 main RapIDE software. I
wrote to the cdrom team and they kindly sent me a new CDROM, but I still
have exactly the same problem. I did however once manage to install all
the sets when using both my harddisc and CD-ROM drive on the internal IDE
interface. It would seem to be a problem with the RapIDE interface talking
to RiscBSD. I also couldn't install the system with the harddisc connected
to RapIDE and the CDROM attached to the internal interface, but then at
that time I didn't have a YES CD driver.
If anyone can help, I would love to find out how to sort it out.
And Mark, I will be sending the old CD back next week - I just have to get
to a post office.
Thanks,
Andy Wingate.
