By "*need*" I meant it sounds like whilst it would be nice you could
probably go ahead without it without it mcuh worse.

If you have a RPC you can always do that under RISC OS or use another
platform for some of your development.

Like I said - if you have a genuine need/desire to run Java on the server
then that's different
