EtherH ;-)

If this is a bug I think it is I did patch it and make it not hang the
machine, I can't remember which kernel it was first introduced to. If you
see things like:

EHDEBUG: Remote 16 wasn't finished : spl level 6
EHDEBUG: SetReg done : status 18 : type 16
EHDEBUG: COM_WRITE : About to SetReg (EH_DATA_PORT, dummy );
ehstart: failed to load packet

this in the console messages and /var/log/messages then you've got a
bug-patched eh driver in your kernel in which case I can't help you...

If not then upgrade to a later kernel...
