INN is a arguably a bit of overkill for running a newsserver for just one or
two people.  It's not totally trivial to set up (to set up properly anyway).

You might want to look at some of the alternatives.  I've heard good things
about LeafNode (though I've never used it myself):

There are at least a couple of others, but I don't have URLs handy as I've
not managed to dig my bookmark list out since moving jobs.
