  This lps isn't the same as the kdhrystone figure you get from dhrystone.
BYTE have hacked the program about a bit and it gives slightly lower results.

  Also, wasn't there someone here who'd written some optimised clib 
routines which improved dhrystone by ~15%?

  Have they been tested in RiscBSD at all?
