Turned the printer off, rebooted, and it let me in.
But it would be nice to know why lpd isn't working...

Today (yesterday) has been great fun! I compiled and installed pine,
procmail, ispell (which pine doesn't like) and tinyfugue. I've even got
sendmail in my netstart file (I hope it doesn't fall over!) so it's
goodbye to my PC and PCElm! Farewell, Bill; I'd love to say it's been nice
playing with you, but my father always told me never to lie...

As I don't want mail being bounced waiting to be sent out (sendmail has a
default of 4 days attempting to deliver a message) my sendmail flags are
"-bd -oT1000". Does this look like the right syntax? (1000 as in 1000
days; the docs don't specify what units this should be in). It says I can
put this in sendmail.cf but refers me to the `Sendmail Installation and
Operation Guide', which I don't seem to have.

(What I do have, however, is a collection of US airports, phone & zip
codes, cunningly hidden in my /usr/share/misc directory!)
