I have a Risc OS 3.5, a Conner CFS540A IDE drive, and a Goldstar 540B EIDE CD
Rom (not the exact number but close enough). Whenever I plug the CD Rom in to
the IDE cable the machine refuses to boot. The HD spins but loads nothing.

I am not ignorant of IDE jumpers and have tried all sensible and recommended
settings, and even some stupid ones too.

If I can't boot the machine, then I can't boot Risc BSD.

(This is really a Hardware question not a Risc BSD question - so sorry
for the off topic subject)
