Hi !

I finally managed it to install all the REQuired sets of RiscBSD1.1
without (!!) any problems. All the files were dearchived and written
correctly to my HD using /usr/local/sbin/inst. After installation most of
the directories were filled up with many files and I had access to all of
them. I did the last piece of configuration according to the beta.txt
manual (hostname ...) and then typed 'halt' to reboot my machine. After
booting only the basic shell commands (ls,mv,halt,...) were available.
Complete /usr/distrib directory in which I loaded the sets was empty,
some files I found and tried to run produced a 'Permission denied' or
'Read-only filesystem' !! I thought this was *my* harddisc ! And now I've
got no access to it !!?? I rebooted and used unixfsdemo to count all the
files on HD4a and HD4e to see if they were there at least. -> They were...

So ... where is my fault ? What will I have to do to get control over *my
own* system ??

Thanks and Cheers ... Steffen.
