I thought I would check I didn't get the scripts muddled, but here it
is:

Jun 21 19:04:27 quantz /netbsd: fpe exception: 0 - Floating point invalid operation
Jun 21 19:04:27 quantz /netbsd: PC=00077a30

another puzzle is:

assertion "symbolP->bsym != 0" failed: file "symbols.c", line 119
gcc: Internal compiler error: program as got fatal signal 6

as a result of compiling a large fortran programme via f2c. There is
no file symbols.c on my system anywhere, and no symbols.o (as far as I
remember) in /usr/lib/{libf2c.a,libm.a} I have no idea where this
comes from!
