Upgrade NetBSD kernel?

Is there anyway of easily extracting a NetBSD kernel from say

http://www.armbsd.org/arm/HEAD/202006082350Z/NetBSD-HEAD-aarch64-202006082350Z-pinebook-pro.img.gz

by using something like a loop device mount?

I was wondering how to upgrade my kernel without a full reinstall...

Alternatively can I copy an image from

http://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/202006082350Z/evbarm-aarch64/binary/kernel/
and just boot off that?
