netbsd-current and netbsd-8 work fine here for RPI3. I'm using
a SanDisk 32GB card.
I had issues on a RPI_2_ that showed errors every few weeks, so that I moved
the system to an USB drive and use the SD card only for booting. But that
was when everything was powered through a USB hub.
