This problem also happens on amd64 on my machine, and (I think) Christos
also reported it. The issue seems to be with the mouse itself.

And the cycle repeats once per 62 seconds!

  	<detach>
  	<2 sec delay>
  	<attach>
  	<60 sec delay>
  	<detach>

It seems that the mouse might not be responding to some sort of keep-
alive.

HOWEVER, the problem goes away (or at least, no console messages get
logged) whenever the console is switched to an X-display (wscons #5).
I've seen something like that with certain mice on all sorts of
different hardware ( I'm sure I've seen it on macppc and sparc64,
probably on arm and evbmips as well ), the mouse would detach and then
immediately re-attach, seemingly at random, even with X running. Didn't
have a noticeable impact on using it though.

This is how usb device suspend / resume appears on NetBSD atm
