Have you tried meta-pkgs/deforaos-desktop? It sports its own web browser 
(www/deforaos-surfer). It's only really missing a window manager, but 
most should work fine (metacity, matchbox...).

You may want to re-compile the packages with the "embedded" option set if 
you care about screen real-estate and finger friendliness.
