Well this NAS is also my NFS server :) the client is an i7 amd machine so
thats not really a factor to account for in this.

I doubt its batching at all creating so many interrupts and consuming so much
interrupt time. I also tested the machine on a 100 mbit network but the result
is the same as the network is quite quiet normally other than some spurious
http and mail work next to some mild NFS.
