Hello,

I thought I saw somewhere ages ago that some people had gotten more than 64 megs of memory recognized on their DNARD Sharks. Is this true?

Yes, both my Sharks have 96MB.

If so, how?

Sufficiently recent firmware can apparently deal with a few specific 64MB DIMMs in the leftmost slot ( left as in away from the mainboard's edge ). For some reason I never got these modules to work in the other slot, no matter what's in the left one. I heard of one person who got two 64MB modules to work, don't have any details though. If you want I'll send you pictures of the 64MB modules that work for me.

Also, can this Shark running NetBSD 4 use a video mode which would work on the TV output? I don't see anything like grfconfig or iteconfig...

We have no support for TV output on rev. 5 but XFree86's chips driver which you'd use on rev. 4 ( I made that work a while ago in - current ) may still have support for it. Probably bitrotted though.

have fun
Michael
