Which video chip does your board have?  There's a pcb bodge that has to be 
done for one DNARD rev to fix some video stability problems.  There's a 
Web page on it but I can't remember the details off-hand.

IIRC the absence of the bodge can lead to the video display appearing to 
shimmer; it's particularly bad if you try to run X.
