Subject: make make?

I grabbed a copy of Apr 29 13:41 BST source, and made and installed make on
a RiscPC (acorn32). If I

# cd /usr/src/lib/libc
# make -V MACHINE_ARCH
make: "/usr/src/lib/libc/Makefile" line 27: Malformed conditional ((${USE_HESIOD} != "no"))
make: "/usr/src/lib/libc/Makefile" line 27: Missing dependency operator
...
# file `which make`
/usr/bin/make: NetBSD/arm32 demand paged dynamically linked executable
# ls -l `which make`
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  135168 Apr 29 17:17 /usr/bin/make

Yet doing the same on i386 works. I can't spot the difference... (same source
tree)

Cheers,

Patrick
