During a make build on a RiscPC/acorn32, with code from Apr 24 13:24 BST,

cleandir ===> lib/libc
make: "/usr/src/lib/libc/gen/Makefile.inc" line 38: Could not find /usr/src/lib/
libc/arch//gen/Makefile.inc

...

between those // presumably there should be $ARCHDIR ?
