in answer on your question .... i'm running -current snapshots now lately
on my Acorn32 ... all seems to work fine and the -current kernel after the
ioctl patch work fine too.

I'm now building a complete release again from scratch and it ought to be
ready in about 4 hours after wich i'll reinstall my Acorn RiscPC again to
test it. In a way its handy i can crosscompile it ... it saves me needing a 
good installed RiscPC for building.
