To give you datapoints on this : the RiscPC/A7000/NC should be able to load
and boot NetBSD ELF kernels. My RiscPC does now and it also booted an ELF
installation kernel so that goes well too; dunno about symbol handling now 
though... i'll have to investigate that.

The creation of snapshots for RiscPC however might not get too well still 
... you did have a try lately didn't you Ben ? Crosscompiling on Alpha 
works reasonably but breaks in the ramdisc generation.

If i feel confident enough and rearange some harddisc space here i'll try 
an a.out -> ELF cross compiling on a Shark.
