It should work ok, if not better as the hpcarm's are SA based, the 
differences are Richard's cleanups.  So it should be safe to have hpcarm use 
them.  Could someone with a hpcarm test that they can use the central arm 
version?

Ideally it'd be good to have as much code sharing as possible :)
