BTN had lots of bugs. I know I had to fix a lot to get it work
with Exabyte 8mm drives and also with a HP DAT.

I guess that recovering a working BTN handler takes more time than
using the QIC drive :-/

Maybe you can find a SCSI CD-ROM for Amiga and just burn a CD?
