First, thanks to all those that helped me with my printcap questions.
Now for a question that is a result of my ignorance.

My current printcap setting is:
lp|local line printer:\
   :lp=/dev/par0:sd=/var/spool/lpd:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:if=/usr/pkg/bin/magicfilter:

If I try to print using, for example, "man lpr | lpr" or "lpr
/etc/hosts" I get the following error message:

Oct 20 22:44:22 ola lpd[275]: lp: job could not be printed(cfA009ola)
Oct 20 22:44:23 ola sendmail[281]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR: putoutmsg
(NO-HOST):
error on output channel sending "451 hashmap "Alias0": unsafe map file
/etc/alaiases: No such file or directory":
Broken pipe
Oct 20 22:44:23 ola sendmail[281]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(daemon): hashmap
"Alias0": unsafe map file /etc/aliases: No such file or directory

I don't understand the relationship between sendmail and lpr. Sounds
like I haven't configured my system correctly.

Thanks for ant help,
Ola
