I have recently installed 1.3 and I am now feeling the urge to compile
my own kernel. The only problem is that the compilation doesn't seem to
follow the procedure in the FAQ.

I get the makefile ok but 'make depend' and 'make (all)' crash out on
me.

I seem to remember that there was a message on this topic a couple of
months ago but I can't find the archive. Could someone be kind enough to
tell me what the two commands are please?

TIA

Daryl
