As I 've written a paragraph higher I (by proper deduction and help of other
people who answered my original posting) understood that I was out of luck
with the precompiled binaries and have to look for sources. Haven't I? Still
it doesn't change the fact that Your answer wasn't a direct one.

One more thing. The README file I have read several times while installing X11
quite a few months ago and couldn't remember any paragraph saying: "be
carefull with some precompiled binaries that can be found on regensburg
because... ". Treat this as a suggestion to add such paragraph to the README
file.

Thanks for describing my behaviour! Now I know more about myself... :-) Still
I wanted to know more about something really different. And in my fine
original posting, which You still haven't read again as I asked for, I have
written:

------------------------------------------------------
As NetBSD seems to happily ignore the standard
rgb.txt file and uses some kind of a compiled version of it, I would like to
know what should I type after the word "man" ? :-) In other words what command
is responsible for the compilation of rgb.txt?
------------------------------------------------------

And that was what I wanted to know. Perhaps now You can read this again and
(by proper deduction) understand the (IMHO obvious) meaning of this
non-quite-meta-question?
