Hi,

I've been trying to install NetBSD from the Meeting Pearls II CD. I've
succeeded in booting the kernel, but when it scans the SCSI bus, it
hangs the machine.

The system information screen appears without problem, and it finds my
Seagate drive without problem. However, when it gets to the Fujitsu,
the drive light remains on and the machine hangs. I've tried
disabling the sync mode but the same thing happens. Annoyingly, I
don't even want to use the Fujitsu with NetBSD. I'm using an A3000
with the built in scsi and the old SCSI controller chip. The Fujitsu
is an M2266S-512 according to RDPrep. I can't find this drive on
Fujitsu's web site and I don't have the manual as I bought it second
hand. One od the docs mentioned that someone else with a Fujitsu had
had to change a jumper setting due to this problem. So, can anyone
help me get this drive working with NBSD, or can I prevent it from
trying to access the drive on boot up without actually physically
disconnecting it?

Bye,
