d'oh!  i hunted for an hour before writing that mail, and 30s after i sent =
it found what i was looking for:
first two cylinders.
my theory is supported; time to try my fix...
i assume there's a FAQ somewhere on formatting NetBSD/Amiga disks - why =
haven't i found it?
