       The "NetBSD/amiga Beginner's Guide to TCP/IP Networking
       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
		   and Networking-FAQ", 2nd Edition
                   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After quite some time, I've had the time to make an update on the
Networking FAQ to reflect the chances made in NetBSD V1.2. The second
edition contains lots of smaller enhancements, as well as sections on
the following topic:

   * Arcnet, technical stuff and setup
   * Setting up SLIP and PPP both manually and automatic (using bsddip
     and chat)
   * Setting up the system as NIS client
   * Setting up `/net' with amd
   * List of URLs for secure telnet/rlogin sessions, WWW-servers and
     -proxies as well as firewalls.
   * How to deal with 'silo overflows'
   * What is proxy-arp, how to use it

The FAQ is available from ftp.uni-regensburg.de in the directory
/pub/NetBSD-Amiga/docs/Networking-FAQ. Available versions are:

   * Texinfo-source (nwf.texi)
   * PostScript (nwf.ps)
   * Info-format (nwf.info, nwf.info-*)
   * Plain ASCII (nwf.txt, pic1.txt, pic2.txt, pic3.txt)
   * HTML (nwf_toc.html, nwf_*.html)
   * Everything in a single .tar.gz file (350kB)

The HTML-version is also reachable via WWW:
http://rfhs8012.fh-regensburg.de/~feyrer/NetBSD/NWF/nwf_toc.html.

This should be enough versions to fit everyone's needs. ;-) If someone
wants to recreate the above versions from scratch, the Makefile, a
self-written script and (enhanced :-) texi2html have also been put
onto the FTP-Server. A simple "make all" should rebuild everything.

Please email any comments, etc. to hubert.feyrer@rz.uni-regensburg.de.
