Hi,

While trying to get various filters to function with my PostScript
laser printer I seem to have killed 'lpd'. Nothing seems to be able to
get the daemon up and running. Below is some output from my shell to
show what's going on or not going on as the case may be. The first lpc
says the daemon is started but status says it isn't.

unknown# lpc start laser
laser:
        printing enabled
        daemon started

unknown# lpc status
lp:
        queuing is disabled
        printing is enabled
        no entries
        no daemon present

Does anyone have any ideas about what I did wrong and how to fix it?
My 'lpd' is in /usr/sbin.

Thanks,
Ola
